About
Who we serve, and what we typically help with
We’re a retirement-focused planning firm serving households in Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. Most of the people we work with are in the years leading up to retirement, or already retired, and many are between ages 55 and 75. They want a practical plan to turn what they saved into income they can depend on.
Many firms start with products. We start with people, priorities, and pressure points. We focus on helping you answer the questions that matter most: how much income you can count on, when to claim Social Security, how to think about taxes, and how healthcare and legacy goals fit into the full picture.

Meet the Founder

Shawn Wrisley
President
Shawn Wrisley of Wealth Preservation Group has spent nearly 12 years helping people navigate retirement decisions that can shape the rest of their lives. His mission is to replace uncertainty with clarity so clients feel confident about the income they can rely on.
His approach is grounded in real life. He grew up seeing the effects of financial stress and now focuses on building plans that reduce anxiety, simplify complexity, and support confident decisions.
He is also a parent of two children, which informs how he thinks about long-term responsibility and planning. Outside of work, he enjoys baseball and racing cars. Racing reinforces principles he applies with clients every day: preparation, discipline, and staying calm under pressure.
In meetings, Shawn often returns to three practical questions:
Q.
What is this?
Q.
What does it do?
Q.
What does it mean for you?
